Last Night's Dream; Woodland Adventures & the Pluto Permit

I was with D.D., in a large building in a wooded area with large clearings. Either I lived there or we'd been going there for years. People were starting to build mansions throughout the area, which made me sad. We went down to a large, expensive, wooden dining room table in the woods with a female friend of his. 2 more tables were just around the bend, on a path. We sat & talked about boats sinking in frigid water. I imagined it in my head, seeing a yacht listing to one side, dumping its overdressed passengers in the water. I mused, "How bad would that suck?" We soon left, heading back where we'd come from. We stopped at a convenience store in a mansion on the way. Inside, an older woman broke up with an older man who I knew already from the neighborhood. It was because he'd opened the store. She assumed it meant he couldn't take care of her in the manner to which she was accustomed (although the guy was loaded, in reality.) Although perturbed, he wasn't terribly upset. He seemed to feel it was unjust, more than anything. He discussed her decision with me briefly, seeking sympathy. I give it; "What does she expect? You've got to pay your bills." He nods agreement. A couple of men were sitting at a table near a window, discussing the dismissal of Pluto as a planet. One was against it & said (in a cheeky way,) that he had his "Pluto permit," bringing out documents on the subject. I considered why all the visible planets appear to be the same size from Earth (although that's not actually true.) I figured that although Jupiter & Saturn are much farther away than Mars, they're also much bigger. D.D., his woman friend & I went back to the building we started out at. He stayed outside. Soon I heard loud noises & ran out onto the concrete patio out front to see what was happening. Across the field across the road I saw lightning flashing non-stop throughout the forest. I was quickly worried that it could strike our way & I headed back inside. I realized that D.D. hadn't followed. I look outside, afraid he'd already been hit, but he was okay.

that "pluto Permit" element is certainly weird.

Charles; It wasn't actually a permit, though. He was referring (in a cheeky way,) to the papers which confirmed why Pluto should still be considered a planet. Still, it kind of made me chuckle in the dream.

Man, you have lots of cool dreams. I pretty much put my head down and the pillow and pick it up again.

A couple nights ago, I *did* dream of the World's Worst Lawnmower, but that was an abberation, and not a very interesting one at that...

Steve; World's Worst Lawnmower??? *ROFL!* I used to put my head down & pick it up, too. Then one day I decided to really start trying to remember. My recall jumped from 7 in a year to hundreds. Now (as you can see,) I can typically remember a little something (at least,) every night. Lucid dreaming can be exhausting, however, so every so often I take a break to just sleep.
