A girl had written bogus essay to win Hannah Montana tickets. People were outraged that the winner had lied, but I knew the larger crime here was an unhealthy focus on the fame of the character. If they weren't so popular tickets wouldn't be so hard to get & such things wouldn't happen.
The picture is of a path at Lake Ramsay from the other day.
Wish it was as warm here as your photo - its freezing this afternoon - fine drifting snow started.
http://120299.blogspot.com/ there's a geo net counter in the left sidebar on this one - just a fun thing if you're passing with a zoom solar system video.
Had a laugh taking mini video on the camera of guys playing pool - take awhile to sort that function out, but sharp quality.
b12dreamer; Thanks for the kind words (& for your e-mail address! ;)
Julie; Unfortunately Winter temperatures have finally hit our area. Last night was in the 20sF (around -5C.) I think the hike that day is the last we're going to see of balmy weather for a while. <:( At least we're NOT going to see s*now (or at least we're not going to have any last more than a few hours.)
Charles; Me, too. There are other trails in the area to explore, as well.
There was a "larger crime." Hmm. Fame. We do put these people on pedestals, don't we?
Love the path. Looks so relaxing. Keep up those walks with your beloved. Will always stay in your memory and be so much more important than, say...hmm...Hannah Montana Tickets!
Excellent point, Lana about the craziness of the fame and the willingness of a girl to lie to get tickets. Love the dream entries and art -- beautiful!
Drat--my comment posted earlier never appeared here! Ah well...to restate...
Gledwood; Thanks for stopping by! Although I was learning Welsh via book & tape, it's hard to keep it up when there's NO one to speak it with. I'm jealous that you used to live there! Thanks for the invite to your blog & Happy New Year, too!
Julie; Seafood...ah. Much better. As for the weather, evidently it was a temporary glitch, as local temps ARE going back up into the 20sC/70sF range for the weekend. Woo hoo! I have to admit, though, I'm totally spoiled by the weather here. I whined about "freezing" all day yesterday & temps never even WENT below freezing! I'd even pre-warmed my car in the morning! I need to hang my Canadian head in shame... <:(

Donnetta
I love your photos. I think that is my most favorite part of the internet, it's seeing people's great photographs! I just love 'em.
And Hannah Montana - honestly, I just don't get the level of fame we put celebrities at.
The dream seems like sound commentary . . .
Love the pix, too. Got to hike around Tar Heel woods today, very fun to get out . . .
Marvin; I'm blessed to live near many such places.
Donnetta; The fame game just seems like such a total waste of resources to me.
Ello; I agree--there are so many wonderful images out there!
Erik; Out is almost always better than in, I find.
