Eclipse & LND; Correction

I was with a young woman. We had to correct something (I think it had to do with books.)

I've been negligent in my "Astronomically Speaking" posts lately, but wanted to make sure I didn't forget to post in advance about the upcoming total lunar eclipse.

(Apologies for this short, imageless post, but I'm a bit hurried today!)

Thanks for sharing this link. I'm trying to figure where I can post it too. THanks again.

Thanks for the info about the camera and the heas up on the eclipse! I agree about digital -- God, it's a whole lot more efficient and cheaper. Part of me misses dark rooms, a very small disturbed part, but I could never go back to the pain and expense. Happy late Valentine's day to you and Charles!

Thanks for the heads-up on the eclipse. I would have been an astronomer--really--if I could have handled the math.

Billy; Me, too. Working nights for 14 years, I became very familiar with the night sky. I was fortunate enough to catch the Northern Lights, the Perseids & a 3/4 Moon at the same time. I also wrote a quarterly astronomy column for 8 years while I was in Canada. More recently I try to encourage astronomical interest in my nephews. Took my older nephew to Kennedy Space Center once, have bought them all kinds of interesting & fun space games & books & I point out things to my bro when I visit so he can show them to the kids. Space rocks. If that makes me a nerd, so be it! :)

Zen; Enjoy (& hope for clear skies!)

Michelle; I've never had a dark room, so there was always the travel & expense of purchasing & developing film for me, bumming out when shots didn't turn out as I'd hoped, etc. Digital is awesome. Although I don't have a tripod yet, I'll be taking some eclipse pix (so long as it's not cloudy!)
