LND; Pay for Privilege & Parmesan Cheese

I went to a Disney World kind of place. Special offers were available for different areas & events (i.e.; you could be involved in a parade for $X, etc.) I looked over the list of offers as I had extra money to spend, but nothing really appealed to me. Later I ran into a guy who had a salad. I asked if he'd like some parmesan cheese for it, thinking I had a some leftover from our last Caesar kit. He said yes & I went to get it, but realized I didn't have it, after all. I tried getting some elsewhere, however. There were no stores in the area, but I looked all around for parmesan cheese. I wasn’t having much luck, but figured he'd probably understand, anyway.

An amusement park came up in my dream on Feb. 24th, as well.
Offers also appear in yesterday's dream.
Charles & I used to indulge in the occasional Caesar kit. We've since switched to light Caesar kits, which don't include the little packet of parmesan cheese & have a vinagrette dressing. We most recently had these salads this past Tuesday. Last night I had a soft pretzel, which also comes with a little packet, but salt instead of parmesan cheese.

The picture is of some of the longleaf pine forest that surrounds our house. I highly recommend clicking that link & checking out the "See decline here" link at the bottom of that page.

Nocturnal illusions of salad ...

That not a dream, that's a nightmare!

Travis; Agreed! Not to mention a Disney World like place, too! Ack! Run away, run away! *LOL*

Great link -- thanks for the heads up! As for Disneyland, I've never been and I have never even seen a Disney movie. The closest I ever got was dating people who resembled the seven dwarves and that was plenty for me! Amusement parks are my version of hell, especially that horrible ride that spins you around and sticks you to the wall. Vomitron!

I've heard the expression "salad days" but never salad nights :)

What a sad and shocking map of the loss of the longleaf pines. I would have loved to have seen the primeval forest; as they described it, it sounds lovely. How nice for you to have a little piece of it left near you.

Michelle; I'm pretty anti-Disney these days, myself. I do enjoy amusement parks but haven't been to one in almost 10 years now. Sometimes amusement parks in my dreams symbolize fairs that mom & her b/f used to make us work at, too (eating our entire summer so they could make $,) so there's a negative connotation there, as well.

Billy; Still...All Hail Caesar! Mmmmmm!

Shauna; I was horrified to see the decimation, as well, & count my blessings every day that we live in one of the last stands of it (although the local woods are being chopped down bit by bit, too.) I'm considering looking into some kind of grant that might help me buy up some of the local acreage & protect it for the future (since very few others--besides The Nature Conservancy--seem to be doing much at all.)

Another interesting dream Lana :-D

I have never been to a Disney theme park but intend to visit Euro Disney one day because I worked on two of the showsets there.

You must live in really beautiful place Lana, all your photographs are gorgeous!

That's too bad about the Longleaf pine.-I read your posts but I'm not sure how to respond to some of dream posts.-My natural inclination would be to poke fun at them.-I like your photogrpahy!

Your dreams are interesting. They're like little short stories. Mine are the same way. I need to start writing them down. Usually, I share them with EA Monroe and we try to find hidden meaning or self-messages. Lovely photograph. You have such an "eye." Well, wonder what TND (ToNight's Dream) will be??

Hi Lana,

Found your site via Chicago Nature Lady. It looks very cool!

Miladysa; Thanks. It is a nice area--I was duly impressed the first time we came out here to see the house. Before we even went inside of it I was like, "This is it...Where do I sign?" *L*
What showsets did you work on? That'd be cool, to go see them!
BTW, I owe you some visits--I've been having problems viewing your blog lately (the margins are off my Window, which can't be adjusted.) It should work through this computer but I have to hit the hay soon--I'll pop by tomorrow, at any rate!

Larry; Thanks. Feel free to poke fun--especially at dreams, which are often so worthy of it! I have a huge sense of humor (believe it or not,) & I don't upset easily.

Donetta; Thank you. Dreams can be a lot of fun. Charles & I talk about our dreams sometimes, too (he'd a good person to bounce ideas off of.) I suspect that tonight's dream may be nothing, as we have to get up too early tomorrow morning to get our taxes done. <:( I could be wrong, though...We'll see!

Dave; Thank you & welcome to my blog. Hope you enjoy your visit! :)

Beautiful shot of the forest.

Charles; I looked into grants to help us protect our nuthatches, but since they're non-migratory, it seems we're out of luck. Might have better luck protecting the land, itself.

Sidney; Thanks. Even more beautiful as a panorama...trust me.

But is it actually a Ceasar salad with a vinagrette?

Dang...I wonder where there's a place around her to get a soft pretzel.

Lana Gramlich said...

Travis; No, it's not a Caesar really. <:\
We can't get soft pretzels around here either. I occasionally pick up a box of Superpretzels (click the link I provided in the dream text,) at the grocery store.
