The painting was inspired by a copper wire sculpture I saw years ago that reminded me of a dancer. I used irridescent white in the background to catch the light because I wanted some sparkle. I don't like naming paintings, have a hard time doing it & this is no exception;

I like your work, Lana. Can you tell me which paintings are available before I surf your blog? I live on the northshore, so that shipping would be minimal. Sent an email, but I don't think it went through. Having ISP problems today. Great blog, btw.
PS. If you want, you can go to my blog and then email instead of trying to put a long list in a response. Whatever you prefer.
Thanks, Billy! Sorry I didn't get your e-mail. Most of the artwork on my blog is for sale, actually. I can only think of 4 off the top of my head that wouldn't be (relatively speaking);
1. "Misty Autumn Morning" (My husband loves the original. I'd be glad to do a repaint for you, however.)
2. "Great Blue Heron" (recently sold. Again, I'd be glad to repaint, as I already have at least 4 times.)
3. "Birds of Rhiannon" (sold in Nov. Currently working on a repaint, actually.)
4. "Tulips at Night" (dragon pencil sketch, actually. Original was sold years ago. All I have left is a single laser copy & to be honest, I don't know that I'm up to re-drawing this one.)
Everything else should be for sale, I believe. Let me know what you might be interested in & we can take it from there. Feel free to try my primary e-mail address; ljackman@wildblue.net (in some cases, e-mails to my secondary addresses go straight to spam & I never see them.)
I curious what animals did you come up with. I realize it was a dream but I've been sitting here trying to think of an animal that doesn't shed or moult. Are there any?
Percy, my toy poodle, doesn't shed or moult!
I LOVE the painting. You are so creative. Send a little of that creativity my way.
Donnetta
Yes, I can see the dancing princess.
Love the colours you have used here.
Great work :]
Travis; It was more about animals that don't shed or moult all at once, really, in which case there are lots.
Donnetta; Thanks. :) You're pretty creative yourself, you know!
Miladysa; Thank you. I wanted to use "girly" colors for this one & think the swirly lines captured the movement well.
That's very cool, Lana. It does bring out a dancer -- it might also bring out "African animals" . . .
I've been recalling more dreams lately, anxious ones lately. Onbe shouldn't watch Blue Collar late at night while living in Detroit. Car chases, pursuits, etc. refracted in dreams. In one, I couldn't control driving an old station wagon and reversed it at high speed into a parked Cadillac. Weird stuff like that.
Erik; Thanks for the kind words on the painting.
Backing into a Cadillac? Fight the power, man! ;) *L* Are you recording your dreams, too?
Lana, thanks for the info! (My ISP was messing up my service big time ysterday.) I will take a look at what's available :)
"That's a right purty paintin' there young lady," he says laconically, leaning against the wall, hat tipped low and a straw of wheat between his teeth.
Billy; Got your e-mail this time. :)
Charles; "Why good sir," she replies in her best Southern drawl (still tainted with Canadian,) "I'm afraid your kindness has given me the vapors." *LOL*
that's a lovely painting..for a minute there i thought i was looking up into the sky
I love the colors you used for this painting, very beautiful! It does look like a dancer!
Natural Woman & Chris; Thank you! It was fun to do, a good break from more stressful paintings. :)
