16x20" acrylic on canvasboard
I'd done (& sold) a slightly different version of this last year. I prefer the brighter colors in this version, however. This also may have had something to do with the recent dream about artists & rainbow trees (although those trees were more pastel-colored than these.)

Thanks for sharing this picture with us and the previous version. It's always fascinating to see how a change in colors entirely changes the mood and feel. As a quilter, I find that aspect of color exciting and very scary.
Wonderful painting! Lets hope this one sells for you also!
I love the reinvisioning of this piece. I still liked the old as well, though. Not sure which I prefer. I hope you are feeling better this morning. Call me when you get up.
Shauna; I think I'd be more stressed about quilting. If I don't like how a painting comes out I can just paint over it, after all!
Mon@rch; Much appreciation. :)
Charles; Only just saw this now...will call you shortly. You're too sweet, as usual.
Nice work as always. Hope the back is better soon. I feel your pain as I have back trouble as well.
I love that painting! A fantasy story could be created from it. I can't draw or paint to save my life. Even my stick men look terrible...lol. :*)
Sizzling colours, this! Hope the back improves - and isn't related to lifting books?
That's lovely and so interesting to look at!
Sorry to hear about your back. I hope you feel better soon!
I like that one-Great colors! Is it safe to walk under that stone and enter the fiery woods?
I love the glow of the yellow behind the dark foreground. Very nice.
Everyone; Thanks to everyone for the well wishes concerning my back. I've babied it much of today & already feel better than I have in 2 weeks. A little more TLC & I'm sure I'll be fine.
Thanks, also for the kind words on the painting. Y'all are so supportive! :)
DH; You can paint. It might take practice to do certain subjects, but I firmly believe that "abstract" is a category everyone can master. ;)
Julie; Yes, unfortunately, it was related to books. Not our library's books, however. A presenter at our library's books. She took far too much advantage of my offer to help & left me the heaviest stuff. Never again.
Larry; Careful...It may be a portal to the notorious, Celtic Otherworld. ;)
Travis; Thanks. I was hoping to give the impression (somewhat, anyway,) of looking out from the shade, y'know?
Your acrylic painting is fantasy beautiful!!!
Hugs, JJ
JJ; Thanks so much. I appreciate the kind words. :)
Hi Lana, Just thought I would stop by for a cyber cup of tea. Have a wonderful evening!
What a great painting, Lana! I love the colors.
Val; You, too! Thanks for stopping by.
Liz; Thank you. I appreciate the input. :)
Hey Lana,
Beautiful picture. Love the way it seems like it's lit up from the inside. I really love your work!
Michelle; Thank you kindly!

Chris; Thank you!
This is just GORGEOUS!!! What a wonderful artist you are, Lana!
