Hey, Lana,
I see you're an early SWF poster too. I had that exact same sky last night. Exactly. So beautiful.

Our skies definitely paint some right purty pictures.

I love that bottom one. I'm not very good with nature shots, but I did manage to get a decent twilight image of the moon hanging over the Atlantic a few days ago.

I told your hubby, but I'm going to tell you, too--be safe with that hurricane. Take care of each other and be well.

All; Thanks for the kind comments. :)

pj; I'm not usually early, but I didn't have much else to post this week. *L*

charles; Our skies pale in comparison to you.

avery & laughingwolf; Thanks so much. As of right now Gustav's headed considerably farther west, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
avery; I'd love to see your twilight moon shot, btw!

steve; Ironically it was sunsets that made me quit painting & get into photography years ago. I don't typically try to paint sunsets, as I know they'll be poor representations, at best, when compared to the full majesty of the original event. Almost seems blasphemous, in a way. I did do one, though, when I was getting back into painting. I don't see it on my blog anyway & recently I've been considering re-doing it anyway (particularly now that I have an airbrush,) but the original picture is here.

Upwardly Mobile Clouds? ;-)
Very unusual cloud patterns and the mix of white and pink colored clouds is interesting.

Thanks, everyone. :)

merisi; The cloud layers were at varying heights, thus the white vs. pink. It was pretty cool.

jessica & michelle; Thanks. Our 1st, post-Gustav sunset (Thursday evening,) was rather lovely, too. At some point I'll get those pictures up. Only just got power back now (Thurs. night.)
