OOH! I like that one a lot!
Even though warm colors promote excitement, I find this painting very peaceful and fluid! When the picture first popped up, I thought it was Saturn's rings! Very nice painting Lana!
I love those colors...it's like something from space.
Burnt is a pretty cool name, but I do see the space connection. Aurora still wouldn't be bad. It's even cooler up close with the neat brush strokes showing.
Is this made with oils or acrylics or something else. It is different and might be Mars.If you have never seen a Pileated Woodpecker I just posted one on My Birds Blog at My Birds Blog
I LOVE this, Lana. It makes me think of a planet. Beautiful shades of orange!
closeup of a sun... love it!
All; Thanks for the kind comments. The references to astronomical aspects surprise me (pleasantly) to some extent, but I can see where they're coming from. I had something else in mind completely when I started this, but I got this far & liked it enough to stop.BA; It's for sale, if you want to e-mail me.charles; Thanks, hon! Aurora's the other painting I finished yesterday. ;)abe; As stated, it's an acrylic. I love pileated woodpeckers! They seem so prehistoric, y'know? We have them here, too. I once watched a hawk chasing one through the woods across the street. That was too much!
That is *so* freakin' sweet!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! And as an earlier commenter said, it's calm and peaceful despite the hot colors. It reminds me of agate.
After watching your weather reports on the hurricane, this painting brings feelings of apprehension - I'm thinking of all those fire ants marching toward the front door of the house.
steve, shauna & drjay; Thank you!jr; Yes! *L* Fortunately they all marched away again, at least!
Love it! Gorgeous colors.
Woodpeckers?? :-)I feel the heat of this one.... like the reflection of flames on steel or aluminum....
Hmmm...blogger ate my comment again...signe; Thank you. :)michelle; Thanks. I had something else planned, actually, but at this point I liked it as it was. I'll probably still do the original plan at some point.
