Lana,
I need to visit your blog more often,
you share such exquisite images with us! The colors of the sunset are truly spectacular. Was a coldfront moving in?

That is very ominous looking. Great colors; and the trees appear ghostly.

I didn't realize it would come out so beautiful. You've got the magic touch, baby.

Beautiful! The layering of color is tremendous.

Thanks, all! I appreciate the kind comments. :)

Merisi; I don't know what was happening weather-wise. It was just a very cloudy sky with quite a few well-placed breaks.

Charles; This picture was zoomed in from where we were standing, so it's kind of a compact view of the core of the colorful area.

Lovely, I do love the silouette ones against a dramtic sky. Very atmospheric :D

The contrasts in colors in the clouds are beautiful! They seem to suggest thicker content, and the vividness does wonders for your silouettes. Very Nice Photograph.

Lana! This is gorgeous!! It kind of reminds me of a painting I did a few years ago called 'Winter's Return'. The colours are different but it is amazing how similar the conditions...

Beautiful, Lana! You got the touch, as always! D

Thanks for the kind words. Once again I was just in the right place at the right time, really! :)

Michelle (artscapes); I'm totally intrigued. Do you have the painting online somewhere?

What a beautiful sky with glorious colours, as though God had got a large brush out and painted it.

Gorgeous layers of color. I can see where your "Edge of Night" painting draws it's inspiration.

Michelle; Aha! I see the resemblance, although your painting's more lovely than my photo! I love how you've rendered the sky & those pines are just great!
