Lana - you have an instinct for values and value contrast - well done! I posted a little summer too - but somehow I think I need it more!! 14 degrees would be May here...!
Tabib; There's a second bird hidden in there, too. ;) (I will be painting more birds. I've just been in a time crunch, & I prefer to take my time with birds.)
Holly & laughingwolf; Thanks much. :)
Chrissy; I'm glad if this brought you a taste of what's to come & brightened your gray skies.
Ivan; You're too kind, as always!
Erik; I'm glad the whole thing came through for you. I was hoping to inspire happiness & peace with this one. :)
Michelle; Thanks much. I appreciate the input, particularly from someone with your talent! (BTW, it's 18C here today...Sorry.)
It took me a while, but I finally found that 2nd bird! Lovely painting, I really feel like I'm looking out from behind the trees! Another great painting!
I saw the bird in the tree right away. Perhaps it's because you had me looking with your prompt. I had to zoom in to find the bird flying in the sky. Nice painting.

As always, utterly amazing.
Lana,
Absolutely beautiful!
very nice. it's looks like the trees are dancing with each other.
We need a touch of summer like this from time to time! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous. Only 2 more months of snow. Reminds me of what we have to look forward to.
Quite nice Lana!
This is really tops. I love the hidden creatures.
I love the foreground, especially the way you have painted the plants and the trees.
Excellent!
Awesome!!! Now I don't wanna see another beautiful painting with the post title "NEW PAINTING"
Here's my title for this painting "Dreamy Waters"
Thanks, all. :)
Skippy; Thank you! Yeah, I know I have to come up with a better subject line for these posts.
Beautiful with lone canoe and a bird in flight.
Paint more birds please! ;-)
Oh, I love this! Just as in photos, I love silhouettes against nice color. Simple, yet bold. Very nice! Damn, you're talented!! :o)
Love this Lana, it is just so summery and I am getting tired of grey skies.
Lovely painting.
Eat your heart out, Rousseau.
love this one, thx lana :D
For a while I could only see the top third and the rest was black which was eerie, a totally different take.
Complete, it's a lot more hopeful. Beautiful work!
