Sun., March 15; Weather permitting, Abita Artists will be at the Trailhead at noon, painting (& offering a few pieces for sale.) In case of bad weather, we revert to meeting at the Abita Springs library at 3pm.
(Update; Due to 70% rain in the forecast, we'll be at the library at 3pm.)
(The photo is of a female red-bellied woodpecker in our backyard last month.)

Lovely Woodpecker..
Best Wishes for the next task :D
hope all goes well for you both, lana :)
I can't wait to see the birds in my backyard (except for the fish-eating ones). Nice book cover btw.
I just left Louisiana and the fun begins!
The festival went pretty well!
Way cool!
Would love to have heard Charles' talk on dreams. Nifty-fifty. Do you still write up yours?
Ditto Erik - Cool!
Have phone :D
Beautiful red bellied woodpecker.
Looking in the mirror, one is beautiful not so much. Red bellied, though, and I guess in Hawaii, they'd call me a peckerwood or something.
Sounds like you two had a nice weekend.
Happy St Urho's Day :)
I love the little woodpecker picture -- too adorable! Hope you and Charles had a great weekend.
Sadly, I just saw this post, but I do hope the event went well!!
Nice photo of the Red-bellied Woodpecker! You should send a link of your blog to the art place I visited this weekend. The import art from internet rescources and the more colorful paintings reminded me of some of your work
I hope your sale and Charles' talk went well.
Good luck this weekend. Nice lookin' red-bellied.
Skippy, laughingwolf, JR, Miladysa; Thank you!
David Cranmer; I guess you’ll have to come back, then. *L*
Charles; Yes…Better than the art markets, typically!
Erik; Yes, I still record my dreams (although I have to admit I’ve had no time for analysis lately. I haven’t listed them here because they really didn’t seem to add anything to the blog, y’know?
Ivan; Thanks. Fortunately beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder (at least in my case.) *LOL*
Dave, Michelle(‘s Spell,) Steve & Avery; Thanks. :) It was eventful & productive. A good thing when those 2 go together! *L*
Larry; Thank you. We’re looking forward to the chicks again (a few months away yet.) I popped over for a brief gander at that art place you’ve mentioned. Looks interesting…I’ll have to give it some thought. Thanks for the heads up!
Nancy; Thanks. Actually it was last weekend (that’s how far behind I’m falling in the blog world these days!) I got my baffle, btw. Thanks again for helping me out. :)
Beautiful woodpecker, love the orange colour.
Tabib; Thanks. Those woodpeckers are very prolific in our area (& they're fun to watch, too!)
