Recovery News & A Quick Jaunt

Today my physical therapist said she's amazed at my range of motion and that I might be the quickest healing patient she's ever had. I told her that I've been doing what I can at home, as well. When I said I was committed to recovering from my shoulder surgery, I meant it. It's good to hear that things are progressing so well.
Since I was halfway there anyway, after my PT appointment I went down to Fontainebleau State Park to catch the sunset.

This area is often full of deer around dawn & dusk.

I loved the way the sun slanted through the huge, old, Spanish-moss-draped live oaks.

The pier over Lake Pontchartrain.

About 30 miles across the lake (as the crow flies,) the sun glints off the city of New Orleans, home to the history-making, NFC Champion New Orleans Saints. I'm not one of the "Who Dats," necessarily, but I'm glad the team's done so well & am happy to see how excited people are about it.

Also, Happy Birthday to Nick Mason, who turns 66 on Wednesday!

That light through the oaks and Spanish moss is the most amazing photo. It's a fantasy landscape. You have such an amazing eye for capturing images through the camera.

Hey Lana,

So glad to hear the shoulder recovery is going well! Yay! And the Saints did do a hell of a job on Sunday. Always nice to get some sports excitement that puts people in a good mood.

That sun through the willow picture looks like the tree is on fire.

Good for you to treat yourself to such a lovely walk after your therapy. And of course I'm glad to hear that you are healing well.

Oops! I was so captivated by the photo that I didn't read that it was an oak and not a willow. DOH!

Charles said it all. That an you have posted an amazing shot of the Moon. Wow.

And to your not being able to see the birds on my bird blog...

"The photos are here. There have been a couple of others who stopped here or on one of my other blogs and didn't see any photos. I blame it on Microsoft. I know when I turned my computer on this Thursday morning at 5:00 AM it was trying to complete an update which wasn't successful. I wonder how long that had been going on since updates are done when the machine is turned off but still hooked up to the Internet."

Love your sunset photo. Lately, when I am crossing the Causeway in the morning, the sunrises are so striking. I keep saying I want to go to the lakefront to take photos of the sunrise on my days off. Just might have to make it this weekend.
