There were dozens of turtles of different types (mostly red-eared sliders.)
Some were covered (to varying degrees,) in some kind of moss.
This soft-shelled turtle was HUGE, dwarfing even the largest of the hard-shelled turtles.
Our state wildflower (Louisiana iris/blue flag) was out in force.
There were various insects, as well.
Little wood satyr butterfly.
Some kind of eel-like mystery fish.
We saw an alligator, too, but it was too distant to photograph.
