Wait, is the eclipse on the 25th, or on Saturday? Today (Friday) is the 25th. :/

The link gives all of the details.
Those are so impressive, Lana. It made me think of werewolves and the full moon! The first one looks like it's right from a Lon Chaney movie.
I love things Astronomical...Keep em coming :) My laptop has a busted LCD and I can't blog today. Sigh

i got some photos of the moon on friday. missed the lunar.
Huh....lots going on up there!
I wish we could see more sky action. But between the trees and overcast skies, we don't get to see much.
love it ..
Rick; Thanks. :)
celticmusicfan; Sorry about the laptop problems. Hope things are functional again now!
v; I was going to get up for the eclipse, but it was going to be RIGHT on the horizon at around 5:15am, so I wasn't even sure we'd be able to see it (& I've REALLY needed sleep lately!)
Dave Coulter; Lots going on everywhere, of course. That's the sky for you! *L*
Travis; I hear you. I used to be prolific about it, but then again, I worked nights for 14ish years (mostly outdoors.)
Ali; Me, too. Not enough people just look UP from time to time!
A lovely, eerie photo, Lana!
Thank you, Bernita. :)
I used to be more into astronomy.I plan to buy a telescope again as soon as I can. There should be some meteors to see this montha and the big shower is coming up mid-august.
Thanks for the update.
Larry; Yes, the Perseids start Aug. 11th. Going out to view them one night I was pleasantly surprised by the Northern Lights at the same time. Despite it being 4am, I had to wake up my mom to see it, too.
