Lana, this is lovely with the enticing waterway and moss hanging from the branches, and the danger lurking just waiting for some unsuspecting creature.
Lana, this is GRAND! The path of the water is sucking me in but Mr Gator is claiming the way. He's in his element. For me that path can be only a dream. Thank you! erla
I love that color. Magical and mysterious. The title made me envision Leslie West coming dow the tive in a swamp boat singing Mississippi Queen with guitar amps blaring out the side.I think it would ruin the mood you created though.

Hi
this is wonderful, the colours are amazing and the trees create a fantastic frame, it is just how I imagine a Louisian swamp.
Do you have an online gallery where you sell your pieces?
That is a wonderful piece--it truly captures the environment in which the scene is set.
I love it. You always draw nature right out onto the canvas.
I love this study!
As I look at your art, I get lost in the moss. Very tranquil piece; but hell I'm no art critic.

I totally dig. The overall effect feels like Henri Rousseau's world reinvented in the bayou or swampland -- love it!
Hey Lana,
LOVE the new painting! Really beautiful.
What a wonderful piece, Lana. I can feel the green.
I love the light. I could stare at that forever.
I LOVE your work, Lana!

Thanks for the kind comments, all.
Ladygoodwood; Here's my online gallery/webpage.
Beautiful as always. It's always a nice surprise to click on these to open them larger and see all the detail.
Hauntingly beautiful... although from the title I expected to see an oldtime river steamboat! :)
I love the painting, Lana!!
Kate S & Punam; Thank you. :)
troutbirder; I'm glad you like it. Although the title is cliche, I wanted to use it in a new way.
Oh I love this, the palette is so cool! So refreshing to look at in these hot summer days. A beautiful painting.
Thanks, Aethernaut. I'm glad you like it. :)
