Sunset & Snake

Here are some shots of sunset, taken from my yard the other day.

A little while back, Charles took this picture of a Southern black racer, 3-4' long, in our backyard. (I forgot to post it!)

Wow!, black snake racing toward photographer. This Coluber constrictor priapus is non-poisonous.
Love all those sun-set series.

The snake sneaking into Paradise! ;-)

Beautiful sunsets!

The snake looks like some mean kid tied it in knots and it just freed itself from the last one.

the all black snake looks intimidating to me...

Gorgeous . . . except for the Racer . . .

Tabib; Actually the snake was completely still in this instance (& my husband was well up & away from any danger, anyway.) Glad you enjoyed the sunset. :)

G, Laurie & Dr. Jay; Thank you!

Charles; My favorite part was enjoying the sunset with you. :)

Cloudia; Yes, they were both something else!

Christine & Merisi; Thanks, hon. You're too kind. :)

AvDeeBee & Travis E.; I know! The snake's all gnarly & weird!

dreamfalcon; You've gotta love the free, kinetic art of sunsets! Snakes sometimes look more intimidating than they are, but this type is known to be aggressive. Fortunately they're non-poisonous.

Erik; Thanks, but we think the snake's beautiful, too. We can't help but love all of the critters that come for a visit--except for those rat ba$tard squirrels, of course. *L*

Hey Lana,

The sunset is so beautiful! And that snake would have put me in the home. OMG!

Thanks for the warning about the snake picture. I hope you don't mind, but I enjoyed the sunset and skipped the snake.

I would not do well where you live.

Cool snake, they are harmless right? Love the colors in your sky. Your sunset photos are beautiful.

Red at night sailor's delight red in the morning sailors take warning-
Awesome sunset shots and like the black racer. I know some people (like my wife) who would be racing the other direction if they saw one.

Michelle; Thanks. We both think snakes are kind of cool (but we're Libras, so go figure.)

Travis C.; S'all good. I know you don't like spiders & snakes! ;)

eileeninmd; Thanks. As for the racer, they're aggressive & have a painful bite, but they're non-poisonous.

Larry; Thanks. Yes, I know that some people are just NOT snake people. More for us, I s'pose. ;)

Lana, I am soooooooo scared of snakesss and centipedes! Snakes becoz they have no legs yet can slide anywhere.. and centipedes because they have soo many legs and can reach anywhere!! They give me nightmares!! ~Punam

Punam; Yeah, I know that a lot of people are wary of snakes. Fortunately our deck is at least a meter off of the ground, so we can be assured of relative safety when taking pictures like this!
