Very nice. I love the colors. They match up very well to the wild irises we've seen.
The colors are perefect and the Fleur-de-lis styling is brilliant. I love this painting. :)
I really like this!! I love the use of colors!! (You know I would looooooooove to see a WIP from you ;)) I think your skills are pretty amazing!
Have a great rest of the week! *waves*
Love the clarity of your work, and the subtlety in your use of color.
Lana, this is lovely. I really like the almost architectural shape of the fleur-de-lis, and the use of colour suggests the Iris rather than the actual depiction. This is very clever and I think Louisian should buy the original for the Governor's residence!

TJ Lubrano; Thanks. I actually do have a former WIP here on the blog, if you want to have a gander.
Ladygoodwood; Thank you. Feel free to e-mail Gov. Jindal on my behalf. *L*

Hey Lana,
Beautiful beautiful picture! And so sorry about your friend's death. The dates are always tough to get through. P.S. LOVE the book! Thank you so so much! Doing a review for next week. But I broke my toe on the way home yesterday (uneven sidewalk, natural clumsiness = disaster!)
Glad you like the painting and the book, Michelle, but a broken toe? I'm definitely sorry to hear that. You know it's going to stick out like a sore toe, too, unfortunately... <:(
(Thanks for the pending review. I appreciate it!)
I really like the colors in this one.
Thanks, Travis. :)
Yes, great eye for the colors, as well as the instinct that chose to unite them in this one.
Very nice. Love the colors you chose.
I might have a chance to come to LA over the holidays. It'd be nice to see firsthand the backdrop for all of your lovely art.
Thanks, y'all!
AvDB; I'd love to meet you if you get down this way, of course!
