Nice pics.
And a very happy anniversary and happy birthday as well.
That place looks cool. I bet it turns into a big water-slide during a rainstorm! Though I'll pass on my turn.
Happy birthdays and anniversary!
That almost looks like something from my neck of the woods.

So beautiful. What a great way to greet the weekend. Thanks for the beauty of it all :)
Never hear of a Pipevine Swallowtail-It must be a favorite amongst the plumbers who are butterfly enthusiasts!
What an incredibly beautiful place, Lana. Kind of helps us keep things in perspective...

G, V & Cloudia; Thanks. :)
FreakSmack; Thanks. Yes, it was really awesome!
Travis E.; I know! I was surprised to discover this was just an hour from home (roughly.)
celticmusicfan; Anytime. Thank YOU for the kind comment. :)
Larry; I'd never heard of one, either, so it was cool to learn something new!
debra; Thanks. I agree about the perspective thing...completely.
Wow! That is some landslide! I trust that no car was passing at the time!
Great shot of the swallowtail too!
Happy Anniversary and Birthday to you guys! What would the internet be without your fine art and Charles's superb writing?
Happy Anniversary and Double Happy Birthday!
Maalie; Thanks. :) No, no car was passing. The road was moved long ago. There's no vehicular access to that section of the road anymore.

Travis C.; Thank you kindly! :)

Come here in Indonesia. I can show you million bigger and higher places like that with tropical fruit trees around and tea field
Amelia; I have no doubt. That's what makes Red Bluff so special--there's NOTHING like it anywhere near here. It's completely unique to the area. Not to mention the rainbow colored soils...
Very nice pictures, Lana. I especially like the butterfly picture.
Looks like a beautiful place to visit. I love the butterfly shot too. Wonderful photos, Lana! Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to you and your hubby.
Paul; Thank you. I've been lucky with butterfly photos lately. Normally they just won't sit still long enough!

Aimless Writer; Thank YOU. Yes, it was pretty cool. More than I was expecting, certainly. I'll have to go back again sometime.
I love landscape and nature photos the best and these are terrific. I try to take shots like this all the time with my digital camera. One of these days, I'm going to get my photo blog up and running. I have hundreds of my own pics ready to be seen.
What strikes me as so interesting about these pics is that it seems you took them somewhere in Arizona or another desert landscape rather than in Morgantown, MS. But I believe ya. Hahaha. Take care.
Kelly; Yes--you should get that photo blog up. I'd love to see it! Thanks for the kind comments on my shots. Red Bluff was very surreal..I was glad to have found it!
DOH! Happy birthdays and anniversary!!
Thanks, Erik. :)
A late happy anniversary!
