In art news, I recently finished a logo for a blogger/writer/friend. I'll provide a link once I have it. This weekend I'll be setting up my "Artist of the Month" display at the Covington branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library. Pop over for a gander if you're in the area.

I don't know why, but I really like the idea of watching fireworks through the trees like that.
Yes, I am weird.
I'll want to see your Covington display. Hope your day is great.
You did better than me, I went to sleep, LOL. It always seems a shame that when you get a new lens or camera, the weather ALWAYS tkes turn for the worst :)
Actually, I really liked the photo of the fireworks through the trees. Very cool.
Hope you have a great 2011!
Your eclipse photo was better than mine. Our clouds were so thick, I couldn't even locate the moon. (Correcting my typo.)
you got a part of the eclips. :) At my place it was all cloudy. :(
The fireworks through the trees is a cool shot. I clicked on that Syd Barrett link since I'm a big Pink
Floyd fan and was listening the music, groovin' to it while checking out interviews and stuff. Have a nice time doing your display at the library. I live too far for a gander, I'm afraid. :) Take care.
Travis C.; You're not weird--we like it, too! Once we went to a park in the middle of a major suburb & got to watch hundreds of fireworks all around us. That was cool, too.
Charles; Thanks for helping me set up at Covington, hon. Everyday with you is great. :)
Chrissy; I stayed up far too late just to get that eclipse shot, actually. I had to go to work in the morning--it was a rough day. As for the camera & the weather, now that it's nicer out, I don't really feel like going anywhere. Go figure. <:\
Janene; Thanks & back atcha. ;)
Marvin; Sorry you got clouded out. One of these days I really need to preplan & get the tripod out & do it right. Sometimes I'm just too dang lazy. <:\
NatureFootstep; Sorry you missed it, hon. :( *hug*
Kelly; Yeah, I kind of lucked out with that one. If I'd've had my tripod, that could've turned out really cool. Ah well. I'm a HUGE Floyd fan, myself. Glad you enjoyed. ;)
The fireworks shots are not too bad. It's hard to catch them. I also like the eclipse. Bet you are having fun with your new toy! :)
Halcyon; Thanks. Not much fun with the new toy yet, I'm afraid. It's been to cold & wet to get out much at all, I'm afraid.
