Those flutterbyes were extremely cool.
These photos remind me that there is hope that spring will indeed arrive. The birds are singing spring songs, though. This is a good sign.
Such pretty flutterbys!
Lana, lovely butterfly photos. And I love the pretty wildflowers. Have a great weekend!
Your photos have really great clarity. You can make out all the details of the butterflies and the plants. Beautiful.
Are you going to put any of those into art shows?
Those butterflies are gorgeous. We're getting late winter wind storms followed by cold rain. It's a typical March here in the northwest.
Holy cow on the tornado! Glad it didn't reach your area.
Those butterfly pics are beautiful and makes me yern for spring!!!! :(
How lovely to see your butterflies, I have yet to see any here as yet so Thank you for sharing. I am glad that are both ok :)
I'm looking so forward to spring in my parts of the world, and the arrival of colorful birds and butterflies like these. It has been a long wait.
Very pretty butterflies. Sharp photos, too. Cool.
Charles & Halcyon; Agreed. :)
debra; Glad you enjoyed. This past Winter seems to have been hard on everyone! Yes, Spring is coming! :)
eileeninmd; Thanks and you, too!
Christina; Thank you kindly. :) I might put the Carolina jessamine in a show, but I have better butterfly shots in inventory already. Here's a better shot of a pipevine swallowtail (near the end of the post.) I also got good shots of other butterflies last fall at Camp Salmen.
Travis; We've been getting a LOT of rain. These photos were taken after a downpour that flooded our backyard & a nearby road. The line of storms spawning the tornadoes was after that. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, too, so I'm hoping to get out for a hike today.
letspaintnature; We were woken repeatedly in the early morning impossible rolls of thunder and flashes of lightning. I swear, I've never experienced the like!
The beautiful thing about yearning for Spring is that it always answers the call. :)
Chrissy; Thanks much. :) Glad you enjoyed.
PhotoDiction; I know the feeling, and am glad to live in Southern Louisiana, where Winter ends so much sooner!
Kelly; Thank you!
Love the butterflies, I planted a bunch of Butterfly plants last fall hopefully they will pan out this year so I can get some shots. Great work Lana !!
bernie; Best of luck with your little butterfly garden. They can be so difficult to shoot, y'know? They rarely stand still long enough! The morning I took these shots was a little cool, so the butterflies were quite sluggish at best.
