Glad to see you back at my place.
You have a wide assortment of things to take pictures of. Here, I am stuck, more or less, with those things that fly into my backyard or crawl under the fence.
Abe; Yes, I know I'm pretty lucky. Still, you get some wonderful shots in your own yard, too! I'm totally jealous of the shots of the Cooper's hawks that you've gotten!
Thanks for the comments on my blog Lana. I think "real" life gets away from all of us at times. LOL
My favorite photo from this group was the one with the thistle. I think thistles are incredibly pretty even though they are rather prickly.
As always, your photography is amazing!!!
I've actually eaten grasshoppers, you know. :)
The photographs of purple flowers are very beautiful!
Heather Landry; Thanks for the kind comment (& for understanding how life runs away sometimes!) I agree with you on the thistles. I never saw such HUGE ones until I moved here, though! They're amazing!
Charles; Why am I not surprised? Was beer involved, too? *LOL* ;)
nina; Thanks, hon. Those are our state wildflower, the Louisiana iris. I love them. :)
Absolutely beautiful, Lana!
Those extra sheckels are a nice addition to any fine weekend.
Thanks, Shea! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. :)
Travis; Indeed! ;)
your State flower is my favourite!
amazing captures, obviously nature's gift to a favored acolyte :-)

Hi Lana, great shots.
I like ones you captured of the Iris, and like Heather said, I think the thistles are pretty to look at too. I bet the Monarchs have to land carefully!
Your pictures are so peaceful! and I can't wait for the summer to see those lilly pads!
Cloudia; Thanks! I love the irises, too. :)
Jay.me; Thank you. :) I love thistles! I know most people consider them weeds, but the geometry of them is just fantastic!
Christine; Thanks, hon. You'd love this place. In one area there are water lilies as far as the eye can see. :)
It took me a while to find the grasshopper. I didn't realize some of the cool nature scenes Louisiana has to offer.
Yes, it's really lovely here, but it helps to have a tolerance for over-sized insects, a wide variety of reptiles, etc., etc. *L*
Wonderful shots from the marsh, Lana! I love the Iris. It is one of my favorites. I can not wait to start seeing the monarchs here. Beautiful shots.
